Chef and author Eric Akis has just launched his new website http://www.everyonecancook.com! Eric has just published the latest book in his series Everyone Can Cook, with Everyone Can Cook for Celebrations just in time for the holiday madness!  Whether you are cooking a meal for four or 40 guests this holiday season, don’t sweat. All of Eric’s recipes are simple to make so that you can spend time hosting your party instead of slaving in a hot kitchen. I’m planning on making his recipe for Mandarin Cranberry Tarts this Christmas!

Check out his website for great recipe and menu ideas, that Everyone Can Cook, from the food writer at the Victoria Times Columnist!

Happy Holidays!

I am looking for a new slow cooker for a Christmas gift to go along with Erik's book. Any suggestions as to the best slow cooker? I would like about a 6 qt.

Hi Greta,

Eric's new book Everyone Can Cook Slow Cooker Meals is full of recipes designed for a 4.5-6.5 L slow cooker. You could easily cut the ingredients in half for a 3 L slow cooker though. Unfortunately, I don't see a recipe in his book for those specific ingredients, but there's lots of other great ones to try out!

I just read your recipe for Slow Cooker Beans in Tomato Sauce which was printed along with your article in our local newspaper. Would you have a recipe for beans cooked in a 3 litre slow cooker using red kidney beans, molasses, brown sugar, onion and dry mustard?
