When journalist Shari Darling graduated from the George Brown College Sommelier program, she immediately began writing about her passion for food and wine. She has been a prolific member of the food and wine industry for more than 20 years. She was co-host of the national TV series Simply Wine and Cheese, is a standing member of the Wine Writer's Circle of Canada and the bestselling cookbook author of Canada's Wine Country Cookbook (Macmillan Canada) and Harmony on the Palate.

In 2007, Shari founded The Moan Factory®, a company that produces artisan food products for the avid  home cook and wine lover. The goal of Shari's company is to help you achieve culinary orgasm and the coveted MOAN FACTOR© with every combination. Her best selling cookbook, Harmony On The Palate, is implemented in colleges and universities across Canada for food and wine training, including George Brown College in Toronto. Orgasmic Appetizers and Matching Wines is the first cookbook developed under this brand and is one of the first cookbooks to explore the scientific source behind the culinary orgasm. Orgasmic Appetizers and  Matching Wines was awarded Best Food and Wine Pairing Cookbook in Canada at the 2008 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.

Shari lives in Peterborough, Ontario and is the newspaper columnist, "The Sophisticated Wino."
